![]() Deep within the manmade caverns of Cappadocia, Turkey, a mine inspector finds three sheets of ancient parchment. Spectrum analysis and carbon dating establish that they are two-thousand years old. Translation reveals that the scroll was penned by one calling himself "Jesus of Nazareth." Word of the contents of the writing reaches the Committee for the Preservation of the Traditional Jesus whose members are the most powerful men of modern Christianity. Realizing that declarations by the author will destroy their churches, the Committee authorizes extreme measures to obtain possession of the writing to suppress the contents, and to eliminate those who have knowledge of its message. The translator, Leonard P. Scarlotti, Ph D., and the scroll go missing. Vincent, his brother, an alcoholic on suicide watch, vows to find him. But even Vince Scarlotti, a battle hardened veteran, is not prepared for the terror that is incited by those attempting to obtain possession of the document and to suppress its contents. Vince's brazen plan to rescue the scroll takes him across Europe, and into the highest offices of the Vatican. Click here to read an excerpt from The Baptism of Vincent Scarlotti
